"you are a real human" my ass, this book is so pathetically bleak and made of caricature of tropes that I just wish for it to end. I'm now committed to finishing it just so I can criticise it rightfully, but it is so full of bad writing, caricatures, stupid clichés etc. that I can guarantee that I will never, ever again let a review on tick Gok persuade me into wanting to read something

I just wish Lucy Rose would actually commit to her own story and actually have Eden cook Margot and give it to Ruth, but considering her bleak writing and book being on the first person what's gonna happen is probably the contrary to that

I'm going to wildly (not really) guess that Eden was there to avange a loved one, by fatting Margot so she and Mama could eat, then she will eat Mama and that's it. A predictable plot twist to a mid book

so far the book has been a simple meh, not good, not bad, just meh. and I guess that's on me for picking a book about such a rich and complicated topic out of a tiktok. hopefully it will get better
