Prison abolition and "defund the police" have never been clearer to me.

Hard to choose just one but quote for thought: "if we assume that there must be an identifiable racist [...] who is the perpetrator, then we won't ever succeed in eradicating racism"

LOVE to see Davis including trans women in her feminism.

In the true nature of intersectionality, Davis mentions multiple groups, struggles, and movements before coming back to Palestine. So, just one quote for thought:

"Before Palestinians are even arrested, they are already in prison. [...] one can be transferred from an open-air prison to a closed prison."

Reading just now, at the end of 2025, about the need to bring global awareness to the conflict in Palestine from a 2014 interview with Davis truly makes me feel like I've been asleep this whole time. 2026 might just have to be my year of nonfiction.
