The battle in the circle between the Great Wolf and the Young Lion is about to begin! This story is freaking sweet. I love these characters.

I find Broad’s character to be an interesting one. It’s easier for him to lash out than it is to have restraint. I can relate.

Really awkward that Savine is seemingly in love with Orso when they are technically siblings. Half, but still. That and the fact that they be bangin’.

Caul MFing Shivers! Confused though as to why he is now working with the Dogman… I freaking love this series.

I am really vibing with this story. I like the new characters (Savine and Broad are my favorites so far) and I love seeing the characters I’ve come to know over the course of the previous books.

I love Joe Abercrombie’s character-based world building so much!

I love the inclusion of all these characters I have gotten to know over the course of the seven previous books. It makes it feel like the world is living and like it is all culminating.

I also really enjoy Savine and Sand Dan Glokta’s relationship. He is protecting her from Valint & Balk and I love it.
