It’s interesting that even Marx/Engels admits that a desire to access goods incentivizes cooperation even between groups that have reason to be unfriendly.

Notes that the borg having such political influence has lead to political centralization instead of many smaller, independent nations.

“The borg has made physicians, scientists, lawyers, etc into wage laborers.” Bruh do you think people used to do these things for free?

“The borg has made things less sentimental by making the family unit an economic thing” This has been true since the beginning of marriage. It was for land or wealth.

“Constant improvements in tech are needed for the borg to exist; these agitate social conditions.”

All history is oppressed vs oppressor. Often through social rank. Now, bourgeoisie (employers, own capital-producing assets) vs proletariat (those who sell their labor to live).

As tech improved, the borg got more powerful. To the point where the state is basically to its benefit. The only connection between people is now economic.
