Things I want to read more of in the new year:
1. new science fiction (by which I mean, not Old Important Classics)
2. something historical with adventure and a bit of romance. I think I'm feeling nostalgic for the Jacky Faber series.
Any recommendations?

I've heard a lot of good things about The Martian, and I've read Ender's Game, but the rest I hadn't heard of before. I'll look them up.
I would also recommend The Library on Mount Char, but I would personally categorize that as fantasy.
