Oh my word, I honestly don't think I'm going to make it through this book. The writing makes my head hurt (both the style and the wordiness are like a story some kid wrote who thought the more details the better). I'm only on chapter five and I am already highly annoyed by the primary character who is also the narrator.

It's not getting better. The cliches are cringe-worthy. Nancy Drew might have had better writing. The author's motto seems to be, "Why use 8 words when 40 will do." I really do not understand the high rating this book has on Goodreads.

I'm already not sure I'm going to finish this. I'm only two chapters in and it's like trying to read a story one of my kids wrote, who got a little over zealous with the descriptive terms and don't know how to start a story or a plot. I'm dying and I have no idea how it can have such a high rating! 😬
