Crazy how politics has changed. Truman’s economic policies/philosophies as a freshman senator would have put him just to the right of Mamdami… At the same time, a bystander (and benefactor) of some pretty crazy Missouri electoral and financial corruption, but he probably didn’t know about all of it. Pendergast machine is crumbling. Second term election fight about to begin.
