Most unrealistic part about this book is that a Punter would get drafted in the first round of the NFL draft. DFW does not know ball.

I absolutely adore this book, except for the fact that it gives me an actual headache to read it for more than 10 minutes straight.

I just read 3 footnotes for a 7 page footnote that was itself referenced by two other footnotes as it carried information pertaining to the backstory of character who was introduced as an aside in the backstory of another character.

I think I will take me 1 billion years to read this book.

DFW must have been methed up as is medically feasible to write this many words. Truly the Tolstoy of performative male writers.
