part 5 complete! I am actually feeling so nostalgic rn bc the first time I read c&p I remember getting to this scene at11pm, realizing I HAD to finish the novel, soo 16 year old Ali stayed up until like 2 or 3am on a school night to see how it ended (and I read the epilogue super fast on the way to school the next morning). what a banger!!!

part 5 chapter 4 LORDDDD truly the best chapter in the entire book. Raskolnikov is so awful but I love him. Seeing him fully understand his thought process through explaining it to Sonya, seeing his transformation from superhuman to louse to just a man. Sonya urging him not to give into dispair but to undergo redemptive suffering. "I'll still fight."
