I’m enjoying the overall feeling this book portrays, I’m intrigued by 1940s beat culture and freedom of being on the road, counterculture, etc. but definitely see where the criticism about this book comes from. Its unstructured stream of consciousness approach makes it hard to dive into a flow state while reading. It has also aged poorly in some of its outlook and language.
