i swear to god this book is as subtle as a rock

the amount of descriptive torture and mutilation to the women in this book, including all of the rape being mentioned casually, has me shocked that this is written by a woman. it’s probably just commentary on how little society values women outside of childbirth, but wow i feel sick. 10x worse that this is all coming from a male character who likes to act like he’s above others, despite having a woman in his barn

slightly gagged (and not in a good way) by this book so far
