There is so much coming for you; there is so much you can get in the way of two. So much you can do, so much you can achieve and attain. You will never, ever run out of places to see that you’ve never seen. Songs to listen to that you’ve never heard. Feelings to unpack and undressed on your floor that you’ve never engaged with before. Experiences you’ve never had. It is too much to even make sense of.

Sometimes we change in the same direction as our friends; sometimes we change in entirely different directions. Sometimes we change in opposite directions and find our way back to one another. The way we show up for one another, the way we spend time together, and our relationships in general will, inevitably, change as we do. That is okay. It is all we can do to cherish each & every moment we have in the here & now

Here is the truth – someone else’s joy is not a threat to my own. Someone else’s idea of fun is not a threat to my own idea fun. Someone else’s preference of how they spend their time is not a knock at me for how I prefer to spend my own.

“ What if I am an overenergized chameleon? Always adjusting my colors to fit my environment? Always easing into and out of myself to appease everyone else? What if I am wasting myself by being a caricature of a heart and a soul instead of being a real person?”
