This seems to be a theme despite a genie granting all Weetzies wishes in book 1

Except this is a concerning statement: "remember how I always wanted to slip inside of Angel Juan’s brown skin. It seemed safer than mine. Now especially."

I always thought it was strange and thoughtless for Weetzie to only bring Cherokee to meet her dad and not Witch Baby and now this book is addressing that, and continuing to emphasize Weetzies flawed, multifaceted personality as opposed to the one dimensional glitzy punk LA icon of the first book.
