In the Chinese calendar, it's the year of the horse - it brings passion, resilience, and unstoppable drive; it favors those willing to trust themselves, take calculated risks, and move with integrity.

Trish Growth comes from movement, honesty, and choosing your own path even when it feels unconventional. This year rewards bravery, authenticity, and emotional strenght. Courage is the name of the game.

2026 is for me: my growth, my peace, bigger things, better things, & many new adventures. One of those will be becoming a dog mom.

I'll also go on vacation with my best friend again (we haven't seen each other in way too long).

Reading-wise, we'll see what the new year brings. I might even forego the reading calendar I've been using for many years now and just let it all come to me.

Are you more a planner or an improviser?

Jonathan O'Neill I like those values that are synonymous with the year of the horse! Congrats on becoming a dog mum! Do you know what you'll be getting?

I have always been a planner that never follows through on said plans so this year I'm going to go in whatever direction life pushes my reading. For example, my mother-in-law is coming to stay with us for 5-6 months from mid-March so my main focus for the first few months of this year will be on Spanish reads in order to brush up. The planning part of me would say after that I'll 100% jump head first back into music but I'm just gonna let it naturally occur!

A dog? ;P
It's gonna be a male GSD.The date isn't set yet because it depends on how big the first litter (in March) is going to be. Waiting is not my strong suit. *lol*

I'm already curious what your reading year will look like then!

Ah, beautiful! I was terrified of them as a child because our neighbours had 3 that would bark like mad any time I cam home on my bike and scare the shit out of me. Then one day when I came home they were all roaming out in the court 😱 and chased me all the way up my driveway before Mum came out and scared them off. In hindsight they might've just wanted to play...? 🤣 I'm glad I didn't hang around to find out though.

Me too, mate, me too!

Trish They probably wanted to play with you. They are just big goofs who don't know their own strength. Or it might have been the bike (they love chasing and you're faster on a bike than on foot).

Animals usually don't hve any bad intentions. They are absolutely innocent. Especially well-socialized and trained dogs aren't a risk.
