Stumbled on this author while reading comments on an X post. LOVE the beginning. I am hooked...invested in both Karen & Chet. Karen being strong, capable, and respected while also working to extricate herself from an emotionally and verbally abusive marriage is unexpected. Makes me curious about how she ended up with the creep in the first place.
