If I wanted to read first drafts of papers , I seek out a job teaching college composition

Poor craftsmanship of writing; reads like a first draft. Very simple and simplistic. Great authors show, don’t tell ;he is just telling. Does he realize he’s writing the protagonist in a stereotype, or is she experiencing a distorted reality due to grief? It reads as former because he’s Telling , not Showing. Not optimistic it’ll resolve.
Not sure why this writer is being compared to other Greats.
