Five chapters of everyone telling Alizeh that she’s powerful, and her upbringing wasn’t normal and that she’s special. Alizeh had one moment of badassery in the first book but after that…nothing? Maybe her speech with her army.

Why is she just…useless? She doesn’t know what’s happening most of the time and everyone just tells her things. How is she prophesied yet so ignorant.

Finally we got Cyrus backstory! It’s heartbreaking but makes sense. I’m finally interested in this series to the point of reading not in my allotted time of the day.

All the characters are getting personality traits, the story is progressing not by 20 minutes every 50 chapters, I’m learning more by every chapter and feeling some motivation to keep reading. I’ll be upset if this book is good…

Every outburst with Cyrus and Alizeh makes me so sad, and agitated. Does Alizeh seriously not understand what it is she’s doing? Has Cyrus not made it clear enough that he’s irrevocably in love with her? He calls her Angel, gave her his kingdom and SOUL.

Yet she’s still entertaining Kamran… SO FRUSTRATING! Please just let Kamran and Huda get together…His mother practically said it was going to happen…

Alizeh is getting her magic back, gradually. Cyrus literally broke his back and he told no one… he truly believes no one cares but even Hazan now is playing Cupid between Cyrus and Alizeh.

Cyrus overall is one powerful man, if it wasn’t for the blood-oath keeping him in constant pain, he’d be unstoppable.

Let’s go, Alizeh has her army of twenty thousand Jinn. Her speech was good, appreciate the hype she gave her people.

Kamrans mum confusing and insulting Huda was a whirlwind of emotions. From praising Huda to insulting her family, forcing Kamran to defend her (for once) and also Alizeh stepping up forcing her to apologise. I actually feel the friendship between Alizeh and Huda there. Not just loyalty.

We’re on the way to get Alizeh her magic. I’m really hoping that Cyrus actually does die in this series… Obviously I don’t want that to happen but I can appreciate a book that can commit to killing off a MC.

Also, Huda and Kamran deserve their own book. I wanna read more about them two.

The saddest scene between Alizeh and Cyrus happens right before the funniest scene with the whole gang confused why Cyrus isn’t in the King Wing of the castle.

I felt a range of emotions and I’m getting back into the groove of this series. Hoping for the rest of the book to be this way!

I’m going into this book with a new mind. Perhaps I judged the last two a little too harshly…
