@Melody - GRs continuously trying to make itself worse is the only constant. And someone told me DMs are going away?? They already make it so I miss numerous comments, like please, let friends talk to each other! Anyway, love getting to spend another year chatting books with you!

Yeah we can no longer DM other GR members. DM will only be used for group messaging. Makes zero sense. :(

I get strangers but Friends?? The days when I thought not having half stars was bad.

I try to keep WhiskeyintheJar as a user name wherever I am so friends can find me. I just read a fairytale/fable/folktale mashup and was like, Wonder what Marquise would think of this 😊

Same, same and same. I was getting agitated that I can't even find where I can 'like' everyone's challenge page, that's if I ever ifnd them in the jumble that is the 'new and improved' no comment site.I've resurrected my StoryGraph account and and going to try and look in on the SRR as much as I can. My name is usually the same whereever I go too. I sometimes feel like I need to get back to my blog(s) too but I miss the companionship over there of people I 'know'.

Silver Thistle, I've followed you on Storygraph, but there wasn't a friend request option. Whiskey, we're already friends over there.

I still can't find to read where people have commented on my challenge, the new updates are such a mess.
I'm on StoryGraph but pretty much only use it for when people want to buddy read over there. It feels less social to me, but probably due to me not really having any time to invest over there and I'm not a big fan of how they integrate AI (I don't want book recs from AI, I want it from my friends!).
I still have my blog but overall, people rarely comment on it, GRs and BlueSky is so much more convenient for people to scan.

StoryGraph does buddy reads pretty slick. I recruited some SRR folks last year to test it and I liked that function. The rest of it leaves a lot to be desired.
