it wasn't a bad read but i am wondering how much contact the author has had with from-china chinese people ... idk, i feel like the chinese people could've been realer. something doesn't quite click there for me.

well, all my predictions came true.

damn, no better way to have a conflict so we get this... should've been easily resolvable conflict.

i think i’ll be surprised if assistant lady doesn’t turn out to be secretly gunning for main guy and also sabotaging other girl.

i accept that it's main char's personal conflict to feel guilty but from the outside it's a dumb ass conflict

girl, this feeling like you're lying and deceitful is too much. you're playing a body double, a ROLE. you're not conning orphans out of their money. it's like a ghostwriter feeling guilty for selling their work.

okok gotta circle back a bit - having a hard time believing that totally chinese from china mmc has an OSCAR (for acting i'm guessing). like a prestigious chinese or foreign intl festival award i would believe. but the AMERICAN oscars? for a young asian not american guy? doubt doubt doubt. like are we in a universe where the AMERICAN academy awards are suddenly all about diversity?

i don’t really get why fmc is feeling like this job is so dishonest and deceitful. honestly the biggest personal risk is privacy and stuff but like. you’re not breaking any laws or doing something immoral? conflict for the sake of conflict…
