Cal has gone into business with Will Hamilton! He saw the badness in himself and is fighting against it every day, a battle that most people can recognize and I think the mark of a good man.

Finished up part 3 and started working on part 4. Is Tom dead!? I don’t think so but we’ll see and I sure am glad Lee came back he’s one of my favorites. Caleb went and met with his mother and I think he’s better for it, he saw a path that he could take and went the other way! good on him.

Things were starting to look up for Adam he finally got around to being a father but then the letter came and threw another wrench in his plans. Now Kate can’t get a grip on him and his son Cal is growing into his brother. It was so sad to hear him praying not to be made mean, he just wants love..so the cycle repeats. Dessie and Tom are staying at the farm and I think that’s good for both of em

Samuel passed away and I think it may have saved Adam’s life, he took that medicine and went to see Cathy at the whorehouse. Seeing her finally woke him from his 12 year slumber and allowed him to be a man. Lee will get to go to SF and have his bookstore and the old Sanchez place will become Eden. If only Cal and Aron don’t have a brotherly rivalry that destroys it all.

Just started part 3, Samuel has accepted the gruesome fact of death and turned it into something beautiful. He will take his wife on a tour to see all their children and he’s okay with that. I found every page harder to read as I also had to accept that Samuel is not long for this world, it’s heartbreaking but it’s true. And to accept that is part of life itself I think. And what great medicine Samuel gave Adam

Cathy is put up in a whorehouse and she’s up to her old tricks on Faye, the owner, poisoning and whatnot she’ll be running it soon. Old Samuel finally had to snap Adam out of his stupor to get his twins named, Caleb and Aaron. Poor Adam let love get hold of him in the worst way. That’s the end of part 2.

Adam is making his Eden and it seems Eve will not be there for it, Samuel got a chill from Cathy just as I did. Hopefully those twins will be okay!

Adam married Cathy! Oh lordy and they finally made their way to the Salinas Valley to set up shop, Adam and Samuel Hamilton met for the first time and he basically talked Adam into a property down there. I suppose this is where the story of these two families finally comes together

Part 1 just finished, the dastardly Cathy has got poor Adam wrapped around her finger and god damn Charles knew exactly what she was. Bout to start up part 2 and see where this takes us.

These Trask brothers are something already! Cyrus just passed away and left the two of them a fortune to split, Charles is torn because with that fortune came proof that his beloved father was a liar. Adam knew already he was and is ready to come into some money though so we will see how it plays out. Also just got introduced to Cathy and she seems like a handful so far
