Yeah my mama started reading this when I was little and dnf’d about a third of the way through. She later told me she didn’t want to read about the events in this book. Her book mark was still in the pages when I picked it up

I purposefully waited until I was older (I’m about a month away from being eighteen) before I read it

And I’m glad I waited because it’s def for a mature audience. I only read the prologue and it got dark pretty quickly. And having finished the prologue I’m probably gonna up the age-rating to 18+ (it’s not explicit, but it’s most certainly mature)

That’s smart. I was gonna read it when I was fifteen, but looking back, that would have been a terrible mistake and I’m glad God kept me from opening up this book at that age
