Grain reveals that Leto and co will come via the royal road on the shield wall and descend down. Duncan decides to climb the wall and that they will ambush on a bridge of the wall.

Leto and co continue on their way and Leto and Hwi continue to bond

Siona is reading Leto’s journals and shares them with Duncan. News arrives that the wedding will be at Tuono and both of them plan to kill Leto

Leto, Hwi, and company are on the road to Tuono and Leto and Hwi share their souls

Leto is angry at Moneo for sending Siona and Idaho to Tuono and changes the wedding to be there instead

Siona and Idaho arrive at the Museum Fremen village Tuono and Idaho is upset with the inauthenticity

Leto and Moneo meet atop Little Citadel where Malky is brought via high liner. Leto questions Hwis origin and talks of his ability to conceal. Leto has Moneo kill Malky

Siona fails to recognize her ill fit stillsuit and will die until Leto allows her to have the spice water off of his person which awakens her and sees the Golden Path. A harsh rain storm comes which agonizes Leto and Siona sees his weakness

Siona and Leto return. Moneo calls Duncan to meet and is interrupted by Fish Speaker commander Siona. Moneo wants the two of them to stay at Tuono during Leto’s wedding

Leto continues to test Siona and moves across the Sareer. She understands the direction to move but doesn’t properly use her stillsuit.

Moneo calls Duncan and Hwi to meet. He tells them that they can no longer see each other from Leto’s orders. Duncan doesn’t take this well and leaves

Leto takes Siona into the Sareer on his back within a stillsuit for her test. He travels very far with her and tells her she must make it out of the desert.

Duncan angrily finds Moneo and argues over Leto’s decisions and Moneo talks about him and Hwi. Idaho attempts to kill Moneo and fails

Moneo warns Duncan to stay away from Hwi and Duncan makes a scene and leaves to his quarters where he finds Hwi. Hwi and Duncan mate in secrecy.

Leto summons Moneo and is angry of the news relating to Duncan. Leto tells Moneo he intended Hwi to mate with Moneo but no longer can. The work almost kills Moneo

Leto is upset that Duncan and Hwi have been meeting against his wishes. He commands Moneo to stop it

Leto travels to the Little Citadel’s massive building using his worm ability through the desert. He orders Siona to meet him there and they meet at the top. Siona questions his purposes and Leto tells her she’s ready for the test

Moneo finds out about the betrothal and is upset and suspicious of Hwi’s intentions. Leto is having Moneo plan the wedding

Duncan returns from the citadel and is starting to turn sour towards Leto and talks of how Leto is preventing changes and frontiers

The Ixian embassy in Onn is attacked. Leto and the Fish Speakers to respond violently killing many Face Dancers. Leto blames former ambassador Malky for the attack and orders Anteac and the Fish Speakers to find and kill him on Ix

Leto orders Nayla to reveal her spying to Siona and obey her

Hwi survived the attack safely and Leto reveals his journals he keeps. Leto tells Hwi they must let Siona act on her own
