i’m only 150 pages in and i’ve nearly cried twice now. like tears pricking at my eyes. that never happens when i read. i have never felt so seen by a character as i have been by harriet york. i have this feeling that maybe the theme of the book is encouraging the people pleasers in the audience to set boundaries and ppl please less.
