I hate this dude so much. “It is good to disobey laws when it’s done for moral reasons” which sounds good but my GUY we set up laws in a LIBERAL fashion because morality is subjective so that crimes can be punished IMPARTIALLY. He genuinely wants it so that jurors are moral arbitrators yet also rails against biases generated by living in a 1st amendment democracy. HMM SO MAYBE NOT THE BEST IDEA TO DO DAT BRO

This book covers so many different topics and Zinn is was on point about the Civil Rights movement and acceptable on unions. But holy FUCK what is his take on war?? He benefits way too much from hindsight and hits you with that idealistic, “we need to structure wars so that every civilian and soldier lives”. Dog it is WAR, these were the NAZIS. “But that makes us no better than them” - I’m going to kms.
