when you spend your wholeee life looking at the story from your own pov, when it seems like it’s all about you can you imagine how Gabe feels? can you imagine what HE thought in those situations, HIS feelings? he isn’t JUST the celebrity, he’s HUMAN!!!!

i fucking love it here!!!! every loose end gets tied up with a perfect bow, the one thing i wanted to know was what happened on the couch that night. i was confused bc i didn’t understand what Gabe was offering or saying to her. to me it seemed like “oh i know this is unprofesh but you can still hit tho” esp because she was so worried about crossing the line by sleeping w him. but it makes sense now!!

one thing i love about good literature is checkov’s gun + a resolution. writer’s don’t bring up anything, even something small, if it doesn’t come back around later. small details become small moments, big confessions, or later realizations and i love it.
after reading her Jam articles, Gabe pretty much takes concepts and directly inputs them into his life. the puzzle. the cider cart. he brought her home.

because he knows her name. he knows exactly how to say it. but instead, he calls her “baby”. while i think it was a term of endearment, he felt so close to her that he said it, i 10000% see how that could wake her brain up. the theme of him remembering her name & all that but for him to “forget” in that moment? to seem “common” in that moment? brutal.
