It's a book about walking, connecting with the landscape yadda yadda, and then he goes and takes a bike and goes down a hill too fast and crashes. What were you doing on that bike in the first place? Why go so fast? Huh?

Opens with winter scene: good. Opens with the dude drinking alcohol "to stay warm": not good. Hope the drinking isn't part of the approach to walking.
