So like I deeply hate the Reverend and Billy Ray and I hope they both for their crimes. Like WTF there is no way you can justify your actions at this point. Which brings me to another point; what the hell is Chee-Wa’s motive for doing all of this? Like I understand why you have beef with your cousin but how does it connect to this current situation?

All I can say is I am at a loss for words. Usually by this point of the book I have more of an understanding of what is going and yet still I have no idea how this is finally ending and I have more questions than when I first started the book.

Shit is getting crazy, I am still a little confused and concerned but I understand a little bit better now what’s going on. Glad to say I was right about my theory on “ Agent Kwan “. I am again deeply nervous for what comes next and I have no idea if the gang will be able to stop the judge from being murdered.

How did we get here???? You know up until this point I was following along ok, but now I’m more confused than ever. I have no idea any of this is going to connect and more importantly I don’t understand the motive. I hope things clear up soon.

Sammi, I don’t think Agent Kwan is actually an agent. I have a sneaking suspicion he is not to be trusted. I will say though that it’s refreshing to “Agent Kwan” get one up on Billy Ray. I just hope going forward no one else dies. I can’t handle any more unexpected deaths.

This book is stressing me out in a good way. I can’t believe that just happened, now Mark and Sammi are chloroformed and WTF!!! They don’t have time for this, and I have no idea how they will escape. Sidenote the “Reverend” is extremely delusional if he thinks he is making it past the pearly gates of heaven. I am deeply concerned going into the next chapters.

WTF just happened!! So many things are clicking together now and yet I am still shocked at what just happened in the last chapter. I can’t believe they killed Zhou. I have no idea what is going to happen next but I am excited and anxious.

The more I learn about the judges and how think and rule on profound human rights issues the more fascinated I become. I have no idea in which direction this book will go but I am definitely enjoying the ride.

It’s like every time they discover something new and important their life becomes more endangered. I am glad that Josh talked to Mark and removed the tracker from his car because that was definitely a close one.

So the plot is thickening and I must say I am enjoying the biblical context in this book as well. I think it pairs really well with the historical narrative too. I’m intrigued to see how Sammi and Josh figure out what’s going on and I wonder if they will discuss the dreams they have. I also hope that they are able to evade Billy Ray without being harmed.

I will say I like the pacing of this book so far, but I would definitely like to see more of the backstory of the main characters. I do fear though that something bad may happen within the next few chapters.
