make it satisfying. “what is immediately rewarded is repeated. what is immediately punished is avoided.” immediate satisfaction! visual measurements help w making progress(habit tracker, moving 1 item each time u do a thing, punch cards, etc). don’t break the chain! u can stack habit tracking after a current habit. when u miss a habit: never miss twice! habit contracts -make bad habits immediately unsatisfying

make it attractive! temptation bundling -pair action u want to do w 1 u need to do. motivation ritual - do something u enjoy immediately b4 difficult habit. motion vs action - motion useful sometimes, will never produce outcome by itself. start w repetition not perfection! make it easy! law of least effort. inc friction 4 bad habits, red friction 4 good habits. habits= entry point. scale habits down to 2 min version
