The graphic novel format of the tale of the monkey king, compacts the tale and the timeline ending up actually making it deceiving to some extent.
Like for example, in the tale here once Monkey King took over his duties to guard the peach garden he immediately thought to eat the peaches.
But that's not what happened originally, it was actually some time before he betrayed his duties and ate the peaches.

Actually he got caught in the very next page which is also not accurate to the original story at all, the writer even skipped on showing a couple magical powers of the monkey king in that period.
I think I'll stop reading this again until i read more from the original work.
