Sartaq and his rulkin know of the wrydmarks and wyrdstones. He’s demanding that Nesryn tell him what she knows. Borte is an interesting character. She reminds me of Manon and is very feisty. I do really like Nesryn and Sartaq as a couple. I think he’s quite the flirt and Nesryn needs that right now. I also love Chaol and Yrene. They finally went on a date and I think are admitting their feelings to each other.

Overalll, not my fav, maybe my least favorite in the series, but the tandem read was very enjoying. I can’t wait to read Kingdom of Ash. I am soooo excited. I just don’t think this book was needed. Yes, we need armies, but did we need a whole new kingdom? Idk, not my fav, but another great story by Sarah J. Maas

Aelin has all the armies she could ask for now. Hasars Armada, Sartaq and the Ruk Riders, and the Khagans personal army. This just turned the tide of the war. I love that Chaol and Yrene got married and are ready to fight together as one. I love that Yrene will one day hopefully meet Aelin, or Celaena. Finally, I think this book was needed, just kind of boring. Not too much happened and I feel like it was missing.

I didn’t expect to love them this much, but they truly made me smile, more than Chaol and Yrene. Speaking of which, I do love them as well. Yrene sacrificed herself and the choice in order to save Chaol. He was close to death, but she bonded them together meaning if one dies the other dies. All that work on healing was for nothing because Chaol is right back where he started, although slightly better.

This book has a pretty good ending. It just wasn’t very exciting for me. It was interesting to see Duva as the Valg, although I had already seen spoilers about it. We now know that there are both Valg princes and princesses. Sartaq is Heir and he and Nesryn are going to war together, coming back together, and spending the rest of their lives together. I truly do love them. I felt they were very unexpected.

Okay so a lot has happened. Nesryn and Sartaq are on the quest to hunt the Valg Stygian spiders who are stealing hatchlings most likely for Erawan. They went to one of the watch towers and encountered one. Not pretty. Falkan, the man I believe sold Aelin the spider silk in the Red Desert is here as a merchant and now shapeshifter. He wants his youth back and is willing to do anything to get it.

I can’t believe Nesryn left so quickly and without a thought. I realize her and Chaol aren’t meant for each other and really think they need to address it themselves. It’s clear they both want different people, but they’re both getting their feelings hurt in the process. Sartaq.. so fine. I love how he is giving Nesryn the freedom she deserves. I truly believe that this will be her forever home, not Erelia.

Woah! So much has happened. Yrene and Chaol are building their relationship and opening up even more to one another. There has been another attach on Yrene in the castle this time. That was scary. J love how Chaol instantly protected her and made sure she was safe. I hate how scared Yrene was. She doesn’t deserve to go through all of this all of the time. It’s not fair.

Finally, they are making progress on Chaol. He can wiggle his toes and ride a horse. I love that he’s able to help Yrene teach young girls how to defend themselves. I also love how she is just so sassy, stubborn, and bashful. She’s not really used to getting too much attention from men, but I think Chaol is an exception and will be someone really good for her.

I love how Nesryn is really enjoying her time here. I think in the end, she’ll live here. However, I don’t love her and Chaol as a couple. They’re just too awkward and work better as friends. I like finally being able to explore the Khagans characters a bit. Sartaq is so meant for Nwaryn. Hasar is sweet but kind of sneaky. And Kashin is probably the most neutral. Don’t really know what to make of Duva +Argun

Ok so this book is pretty decent. I’ll admit it had a rocky start but I love the way Chaol and Yrene are starting to flirt with each other. I love them as a couple and really hope that they take this further. So there is defiantly Valg in Antica. There has been an attack in the Torre and I think it was hunting Yrene.
