@kelspar yeah I wrote this update before reading the following scene, that’s my bad!
Small spoiler but important: one of the antagonist crawlers is an ICE agent and there is nothing positive or redeeming in their character arc (happens in book 3 and after). What's being said isn't always the truth, all crawlers can lie as much as they want.
There are a lot of twists and turns in DCC and they aren't always revealed until later.
