Buckley and Cheap now have separate factions because they both want to go separate routes once their rafts are built. Buckley wants to go to brazil, home, while Cheap wants to continue the original mission and conquer a spanish ship.

Cheap killed Cozens for thinking he was a villain by shooting him in the cheek. This caused mass disarray amongst the men. They think the Captain has gone mad. Cummins plans on making an arc.

Buckley is viewed as a more worthy leader to the peoples’ pov over cheap

The cast aways met the natives of the land who helped them with food and nutrition but the rebellious cast aways chased them off with their indecency. A valuable resource now gone. The cast aways have split into their little sub units.

The castaways are trying not to fall into barbarism and try to stay civil with tasks. They have now created a “little village” with similar social status groups like reflected when on the wager.

The King gang seems to be plotting against Captain cheap now that they are marooned with no hope of escape. Byron and Buckley try to make the best of the situation. They still have no success in hunting or scavenging for food.

The wager has officially crashed, Captain cheap severely injured, and Byron sees an island.

The Wager is now alone. The squadron lost to mist and sea.
