The way I had to pick my jaw up off the floor when the reason for their kidnapping was revealed-

The bond these two share is tragic, heartbreaking, beautiful, and it's making me SOB.

I'm really taking my time to savor this one. Because it's so well done but also so freaking heavy. The shit Ambrose and Dollie survived... Its almost painful to read.

This was considerably difficult to read. That SA scene was written in such horrifying fragments that I felt like I was dissociating with Ambrose.

The relationship between Ambrose and Dollie is so much more than a trauma bond. It's two broken souls, becoming one to survive the unthinkable. This is BREAKING me (and I love it)

Completely sucked into this world. The trauma, the horror, the characters, their relationship. Cori is a brilliant writer and I LOVE how she tackles difficult topics with respect without glorifying and romanticizing it.
