I'm really taking my time to savor this one. Because it's so well done but also so freaking heavy. The shit Ambrose and Dollie survived... Its almost painful to read.

Completely sucked into this world. The trauma, the horror, the characters, their relationship. Cori is a brilliant writer and I LOVE how she tackles difficult topics with respect without glorifying and romanticizing it.

I don't know why this cover didn't immediately make me think 'oh hey maybe there's clowns in this book and I should NOT READ IT' before I opened it and grew obsessed with the story
