This is a memoir not a book about her writing. I thought it was the opposite. Thought it was going to be about her writing of her books. I'm still enjoying it much. The part about her living on a farm and her journey to motherhood is excellent. It is just different than I thought the content would be. I love Atwood and value her writing always. Did not realize all her poetry and early beginnings

two things. I like the author reading yet her voice is raspy at times and I am not quite sure yet if it enhances the text. It takes a little getting use to. I've taken to reading more than listening. The second is it is taking a long time to get out of her youth and to the writing part of her life--what I am most interested in. The print (from my library) has great photos that really do enhance the text.
