The fencing master asks G to whip some sense into his student. G is pissed but accepts

We’re introduced to a new character, lord chamberlain, who’s job is to decide if petitions to the king are worth being heard by the king. He is an ASSHOLE. Major west is standing guard for the meeting as he tells peasants to piss of and merchants to shove it. An embassy comes from the king of the north who they have been waring with. LC is hype but it’s obviously a trap and the magi rejected the same call

I’m not sure what it is about the writing in this book but it is so compelling. Not much happened in this passage but I was locked in despite being sick

They talk a bit before being it erupted by “the king in the north’s” son. He demands he attends the king and the wizard tells him to piss off.

Logen knows that O won’t make it to the city on his own. He either needs to leave him behind or carry him. Despite not eating much for weeks, having a bite wound in his leg, and being soaked to the bone he carries him the last 40 miles.
The city he is searching for is nestle into a mountain pass, seemingly impossible to attack (foreshadowing)

One night as he is cooking’s meager ration he here’s good eats approaching and finds an apprentice named quai was sent to find him. Notes on appearance above. Quai is famished, tired and sick and eats all of Logan’s food. They head towards his master and on the way are jumped by 4 bandits. The fight seen in this is DOPE. Logen manages to out muscle them all and robs there corpses

Glotka and the gang have taken the far the master of the mint to get him to confess to crimes. This was the direction of the head of the inquisitors but is very risky for G. They start by chopping off his fingers but by but and manage to get a confession although we don’t know what yet
