Last book had dark secrets from the past revealed and now Leo is avoiding Inspector Reid at all costs. She however has to go to the Met to drop off a report and runs into him. He has tried to talk to her repeatedly but she turns him away. However today he stops her just long enough to slow her retreat, just long to prevent her from being killed by a bomb. She however is injured and he starts realizing he needs her.
