Week 2 in r/AReadingofMonteCristo and it is *so hard to not jump ahead.* It’s already pulling me in! Surprisingly readable and I love doing the yearlong readalong with a whole group.

Yay!! I am loving it so far. (Way more than the yearlong Ulysses sheesh lol). How do you like the book? Have you read it before?

I have to read chapter 3 tomorrow - bit behind
I saw you're also reading Ulysses and Odyssey - Big chunky books! How is that going so far?
I’m taking it slow too. The Ulysses is a slow readalong in another Reddit group just like Monte Cristo (which is good because I find it *so* hard). Then I figured I need to read The Odyssey to really get the most of Ulysses. But I’m starting with the Stephen Fry version which is funny and charming and an easy read. It should give me enough background to anchor Ulysses anyway. I will probably get to the Homer a little later in the year. ❤️
