I'm going to keep sloggingb through this but I'm so confused. I don't know who all these characters are- Noura, Estelle, and Theo, yes. But all these names as though I'm supposed to know who they are. It's like the second half of a book.

It looks like she has a novella that comes before this one... she offered it on her Instagram page (and through her newsletter). Maybe reading that first would help?
