i can appreciate his writing style. it's sort of objective in an unreliable narrator way. it feels very honest in how it does not overtly point out all the hypocrisies Nic has, but keeps them very clear. That being said, the way he describes women makes me uncomfortable and he's somewhat insufferable and boring at times. 2 stars.

ik it’s somewhat the point but this reeks of privilege and kind of pisses me off that he can have so many chances, screw it all up, and then still be successful when so many other addicts will never have their stories told and deserve it a lot more
