"All Jay's boys became part of him. They'd be with him forever, flesh of his flesh, loving him from the inside." - beautiful portrayal of the ultimate possession...

"He propped the bags in a corner with several others in various stages of marination. Left for days or weeks, they produced amazing juices." 👏 👌 😲

A bloodbath without justification?
I whole heartedly disagree.
The opening scene captures the viewpoint of a serial killer to perfection. The ultimate deep mind dive into the mind of a certain breed.

To completely convey a character's being, essence, the writing must be from that character's mind in every way. A serial killer must kill. What excites him or her is their obsessions, their desires, their paraphilias.
