I read a big chunk, so 1) Johanna and Katniss make an amazing team, 2) these poor teens had been so broken it’s sad to see these circumstances mature them so early, and 3) there’s a lot of great detail and scenes I never knew about in this book and I’m loving it.

When the little synopsis says “I’m Katniss, why am I not dead” it’s so true. This is probably the 7th or 8th time she’s been put in the medic room just at where I stopped. Girl can’t catch a break no matter where she goes, in or out of the bunker.

Our dear Katniss is so strong - yet I can see the emotions and mental pain and struggle she’s been through.
