I rather dislike these vignettes with their summary titles. I find Borne just...annoying instead of interesting now that he talks and asks rando questions I could care less about & Rachel's dull replies. Rachel/Wick aren't very interesting MCs. I like weird and bizarre ideas, mostly enjoyed JVM Southern Reach trilogy, but I don't career about a blob and Rachel's journey of imprinting herself on Borne as his mother.

While beautifully written with it coming off as trite or OTT, so far, this book is very plotless outside of Borne 'growing up' and Rachel being its mother figure. It's soooo boring to boot.
