Just the right amount of romance. I enjoyed the historical side of it, early life in Australian gold mining towns was really interesting. I could picture Sovereign Hill while I was reading. The ‘now’ sections were good too, I learned a bit about modern day mining company practices and life in small towns with a long history. I even shed a tear or two.
