Up next - The Palantír - although I better get back to real life, I’ve spent my whole Saturday in Middle Earth, so I need to interact with my husband, level out that guilt that selfishly reading brings 🙄 I’m sure you can all relate! 😆

It’s heavy going, I’ll take a wee break to digest and continue with ‘The Siege of Gondor’ after dinner. Slow and steady with ‘The Return of the King’ for me, there’s loads going on!

And like every time I get to this point, I have to read so slowly and carefully to stay focused on what is happening. I always struggle here, I think it’s because it’s full with political speech and detail from so many characters viewpoints.

And that’s The Two Towers finished! Absolutely heartbreaking 💔

To say I launched myself onto the shelf to grab it would be an understatement 🤣 the dust jacket is a little tatty, but the book looks to have been unread, the pages are pristine 👌🏻
That is such a great find! Not to mention the fact that any LOTR books are rare to even find in charity or thrift shops (at least here in Montana!). Happy reading!!
I reread LOTR cycle last year and it brought me so much comfort. It’s great to read new books but I love a real awesome classic to inhabit. I’m thinking about revisiting Earthsea this year and a few other my favourites.

Enjoy!😊
