Monte Cristo SMOKEDDD Villefort. They both put on disguises, and Villefort tried to find the truth. He just heard bs from Lord Wilmore and Abbe Busoni that made Monte cristo sound like a chill guy. However, Villefort didn’t know that those 2 characters were just Monte cristo in disguise. God this guy is so locked.

Agreed to be very weary of the man, who at first they were so enthralled by.

So anyways, he checked, and lo and behold, no box. So when the count brought up finding it in the garden, he was wrong. He knows their secret of the baby, but it can’t have been him who found it… Villefort has then told Hermine that he’s gonna A) desperately look for the child (Andrea) and B) he’s gonna figure out who this Monte Cristo bloke is. They’ve both become suspicious of the count and have (2/3)

Chapter 67 was actually cinema. Legitimate peak story. So basically, Mme Danglars visited Villefort in his office. I loved the touch on how Dumas referred to Mme Danglars as Hermine, it made it feel so much more personal. But anyways, they both cheated on their partners with eachother. Villefort buried the child. But also, he KNEW that the child nor chest was there because he was anxious about it too. (1/2)

Monte Cristo has now made Danglars turn against Fernand! Absolute cinema. He’s made him uncover the truth about Fernand.

Oof, Danglars in the boxing ring against his own wife! Basically, they don’t love eachother. And Danglars is mad his lost money and asking his wife for 150 bands bc he lost some from Don Pollo.

Danglars greed sickens me.

It seems she’s also had an affair with Villefort (which must be Andrea) and Debray, but Danglars has let it happen. Monte Cristo has been hinting at this for a while to try and break them!

CADEROUSSE IS BACK! Nothing happened at dinner, but when Andrea (Benedetto) was leaving, he accosted Andrea. It seems Caderousse has been a sort of father figure to Andrea. I wonder if the count knows of this…

I think he (Bertuccio) will crash out in one way or another. Something will be revealed, someone may be killed, etc. I was under the impression Albert and maybe Franz were coming too but I guess not.

OH MY GOD ITS FUCKING BENEDETTO I CANT BELIEVE IT. EVERYTHING THAT THE COUNT IS DOING IS FILLING BERTUCCIO WITH SEETHING RAGEEEEEE.

So basically, everyone the count has a vendetta against, Bertuccio has negative connotations with. He knows Mme Danglars as the pregnant woman whom is actually Benedetto, Bertuccios adopted son. He also did not kill Villefort like he thinks he did. (1/2)
