Sando bros please don’t crucify me… what Amaram did is objectively not that bad when compared to what any other lighteyes officer would have done AND outside of betraying Kaladin, he has treated dark eyes far kinder than he “has to” given social convention.

I think Kaladin just needs there to be one bad guy he can point to as being to blame for all the shitty stuff in Kaladin’s past.

his talent and skill, which had saved his ass 10000x, turns out, ALWAYS came from Syl and when he finds this out he STILL can’t utter a quick “thank you” and instead even antagonizes her a little! stay classy Kal!

I do have to give him credit- Sando is good at covering his bases / laying groundwork for things to matter / make sense later. I guess that’s also pretty easy to do when you have hundreds of pages of exposition to work with, though.
