Thanks, Darren. I've wanted to try McCarthy for a while, but have been put off by some of the more popular books (The Road because I don't usually like dystopian, and Blood Meridian because I've heard it's extremely disturbing).

I watched the movie a long time ago and it was excellent, but it was long enough ago that I'm a little fuzzy on the plot points, so I think it was the right time for me to pick this one up. The book came out two years before the film, so they adapted it pretty quickly.
