the way the author infantilizes/purifies herself is kind of driving me INSANE but also the amount of blatant, flagrant crimes and disregard for any sort of law or common sense is driving me more insane. are crimes really that hard to not commit?? am i weird???

it’s so weird seeing the way that americans think (especially abt business and politics) being a shock to someone else who isn’t american, as someone who’s also not an american, bc i just assumed we all knew they’re like that?? like even if it’s illogical and stupid and i think “well that shouldn’t happen” i still expect it to and it’s so fascinating to see someone NOT expect it to happen

if this isn’t the push i need to stop being the eldest daughter and taking responsibility for things that are none of my business, i don’t know what is. what do you mean you were gonna go to a foreign country to test if you’d be arrested bc your boss had a warrant out on him?? AND THE THOUGHT OF SAYING NO DIDNT OCCUR TO YOU AT ALL?? i’ve seen my potential future if i don’t change and it’s nauseating

it’s disheartening to see that the “growth/money/more at any cost” mentality has been present in tech for YEARS now, but i’m not really surprised bc i guess it’s the kinds of personalities that are attracted to the jobs. it is INSANE how little these people (seem to) think tho
