Enjoyable enough, though I'm already wondering whether this needs to be 450 pages long...

emily Keen to know your thoughts on this one., Matthew. As much as I've 'liked' her other ones, they've never moved me to the extent/point of wanting to keep any og them for a future re-reading sesh, so I don't know how I feel about her work really ~

I went back to reread my reviews of the other two books I've read of hers (before looking I thought I 'liked' her in the same way you presumably do), but my reviews aren't as positive as I thought they would be. I remember liking elements of Heaven… As for All the Lovers in the Night, there's not much I remember about it, which is never a good sign. This one is being marketed as something closer to a thriller/mystery, so quite unlike her mundane and character-driven novels of past. A little part of me is dreading the fact there are another 300 pages of this. It's fine. I'm now waiting for some kind of big narrative event to give it enough umph to get to the end.
